morning. let's go.

The alarm that actually wakes you up.

Jakey reads your day — calendar, todos, weather, the one thing that matters — and gives you a first move. Then he gets you up and won't quit. An iOS voice alarm built on AlarmKit, so it fires through silent mode, Focus, and force-quit. No backup alarm needed.

The bet · build in public

1000 subscribers in 30 days — for an app that doesn't exist yet.

No code, no character voice, no App Store page on day one. I'm building the whole thing live, every morning, and you're watching whether I hit the number or miss it on camera. Either way it's real.

Why I'm building this

I'm building Jakey for me first.

Here is the honest version. I am the guy who sets three alarms and sleeps through all of them. Not because I do not care. Because the mornings I waste are the days I do not become who I said I would be, and I got tired of starting every day already behind.

So Jakey is not a feature list. He is an agent that actually cares whether I get up. He knows what I said mattered today, he hands me the first move, and he does not let me off the hook. The 6am accountability I always wished someone would give me.

Why 1000 subscribers in 30 days? Because I do my best work on a clock, with witnesses. I know how to scope an MVP, I know AlarmKit is the unlock that makes the alarm actually fire, and I know that building it in the open every morning is the one thing that guarantees I show up. The bet is not marketing. It is the same trick the app plays on you, pointed back at me.

if it gets me up, it'll get you up too.

Why it's different

Three things every other alarm gets wrong.

01

It actually wakes you up.

Most AI alarms lean on notifications and background hacks the OS is free to drop — so they "rarely go off." Wakey Jakey is built on AlarmKit: a real system alarm that breaks through the silent switch, Focus/DND, a force-quit, and no network.

✓ fires on silent · ✓ force-quit · ✓ offline
02

Jakey is a character, not a clone.

No celebrity voice clones, no legal grey area. Jakey is one original, ownable voice with a personality — the part a copycat can't lift, and the reason you'd actually want to hear him at 6am.

✓ original voice, always
03

A coach, not a newsreader.

He doesn't just read your calendar. He pulls your day together — todos, weather, your goals — proposes one concrete first move ("go for a light jog"), then escalates with volume, vibration and flashlight until you're genuinely up.

✓ one goal-linked first move
How it works

Set it once. Wake up to your day.

Set your alarm and keep the Jakey voice.

6:30am, daily, whatever you need. One alarm, set once.

The night before, Jakey writes your briefing.

A 60–90s script from your calendar, todos, weather and goals — generated and cached on your phone, so it works even offline.

At 6:30 it fires. You tap. Jakey gets you up.

The system alarm breaks through everything. Tap to open and Jakey plays your briefing, hands you a first move, and escalates until you're out of bed.

The 6am problem

You set three alarms. You slept through all three. You're not lazy — your alarm is boring, and your brain learned to ignore it.

so I'm building one your brain can't tune out.
